Scott Foley

Scott Foley is an American actor, director and producer known for a career that has moved between television drama, comedy and film, with memorable roles including Noel Crane in Felicity, Roman Bridger in Scream 3, Bob Brown in The Unit and Jake Ballard in Scandal. Born in Kansas City, Kansas, Foley spent part of his childhood living abroad before eventually pursuing acting professionally. His breakthrough arrived in the late 1990s with the television drama Felicity. Foley played Noel Crane, the resident adviser who becomes one of the central figures in Felicity Porter's life. Roman Bridger and Scream 3 In 2000, Foley joined Wes Craven's Scream franchise as Roman Bridger, the director of the troubled Hollywood production Stab 3: Return to Woodsboro. Roman initially appears to be another frustrated filmmaker caught in the middle of the latest Ghostface killing spree. He is considerably more important than that. The film eventually reveals Roman as Sidney Prescott's half-brother and the Ghostface killer responsible for the new murders. Following Felicity, he appeared across numerous television series, including Scrubs, House, Grey's Anatomy and True Blood. He later starred as Bob Brown in The Unit, the military drama centred on members of a highly classified special operations team and the families living alongside the pressures of their work. Another major role arrived with Scandal. Foley played Jake Ballard, whose relationship with Olivia Pope placed him at the centre of the political conspiracies, personal relationships and power struggles driving the series. The role became one of Foley's longest-running television performances and introduced him to another generation of viewers.
