Brian Stepanek

Brian Stepanek is an American actor whose career moves easily among live-action comedy, animation, film and the stage. Born in Cleveland on February 6, 1971, he has become especially familiar through family television, where his knack for broad comedy has found plenty of room to play. For Disney Channel audiences, Stepanek is best known as Arwin in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, a role he later reprised in three episodes of The Suite Life on Deck. He also starred in Brian O'Brian, a series of silent, slapstick-style shorts filmed in Milan, and appeared in the Disney productions Hatching Pete and Mostly Ghostly. Elsewhere on television, his credits include What I Like About You, Malcolm in the Middle, Two and a Half Men and Mr. Young. Stepanek has also spent substantial time playing television dads. From 2014 to 2018, he portrayed Tom Harper, father of the title quadruplets in Nickelodeon's Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. Beginning in 2016, he voiced Lynn Loud Sr. in The Loud House, returning as the character in The Casagrandes and The Loud House Movie. He then brought Lynn Sr. into live action for A Loud House Christmas and the follow-up series The Really Loud House. That unusual path—from voicing a family patriarch to physically portraying him—neatly captures the range of Stepanek's screen work. His voice credits extend to Bolt, Home, Father of the Pride, The Secret Saturdays and Kick Buttowski. On film, he appeared in The Island and Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2, while also contributing additional voice work to Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Charlotte's Web and Over the Hedge. Across these roles, Stepanek has built a career around character work: energetic, adaptable and equally at home in front of a camera or behind a microphone.
