Bodhi Elfman

Bodhi Elfman is an American actor whose screen career moves between major film productions, television ensembles and guest appearances. Born on July 19, 1969, in Los Angeles, he was raised in the city’s Hollywood district. His family background also has strong creative ties: his father is actor and director Richard Elfman, his grandmother was author Blossom Elfman, and his uncle is composer Danny Elfman. Elfman’s film work includes roles in Mercury Rising, Collateral, Godzilla and Armageddon, along with smaller parts in The Mod Squad, Keeping the Faith and Gone in 60 Seconds. Taken together, those credits show a performer comfortable contributing to large casts without needing to occupy the center of every story. On television, Elfman starred in the UPN series Freedom alongside Holt McCallany, Scarlett Chorvat and Darius McCrary. He also appeared in Pirates of Silicon Valley with Noah Wyle and Anthony Michael Hall, and was part of the recurring cast of Touch. His other television work includes the short-lived ABC series Hiller and Diller and a guest appearance on Sliders. One of his more playfully specific parts came on Dharma & Greg, the television series starring his wife, Jenna Elfman. He played a performance artist who asks Dharma to take part in his living display gallery—a role that makes good use of the offbeat side of his screen persona. Elfman’s work has extended beyond acting. He is also associated with producing, directing and screenwriting, and in 2012 he and Jenna Elfman began the podcast Kicking and Screaming by Jenna and Bodhi Elfman.
