Blair Tefkin

Blair Tefkin is a Los Angeles-born actress whose career moves easily between science fiction, television comedy, film, theatre and music. Her best-known role is Robin Maxwell in the V franchise. She played the character in the 1983 science-fiction miniseries V, returned for V: The Final Battle in 1984 and continued in V: The Series. That run gave her a sustained place in one of television’s most recognizable genre stories of the period. Comedy has been another steady part of Tefkin’s screen work. She played Charlene, Chris Elliott’s love interest, on Get a Life and co-starred with Martin Mull on the CBS sitcom His & Hers. Her film roles have been similarly varied. Credited as Blair Ashleigh, she appeared as Pat Bernardo in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and her credits also include Three for the Road, A Sinful Life, Inside Monkey Zetterland, Fright Night Part 2, S.F.W. and Dream Lover. In 2010, she appeared opposite Ben Stiller in Noah Baumbach’s Greenberg. Tefkin’s musical work is woven into her acting career rather than kept apart from it. In The Anniversary Party, she performs her original song “If Your Love Is True,” while another of her songs, “Troubles,” appears on the soundtrack. She signed a publishing and development deal with PolyGram Publishing in 1996, then formed the indie band Lucie Gamelon, singing and playing bass. The band released the six-song EP Everything Is Nice, and Tefkin released her solo album Shocked and Devastated in 2001. Her stage background includes membership in The Sunday Company at Los Angeles improv theatre The Groundlings. In 2004, she performed the one-woman show In the Land of the Giants: A Tragicomedy With Music at the Blank Theatre in Hollywood. Taken together, her work shows a performer comfortable shifting among ensemble television, character-driven films, live comedy and personal songwriting.
