Ben Feldman

Ben Feldman has built a screen career around characters who are smart, anxious and rarely as composed as they would like to appear. His performances often find the humor in that tension, whether he is playing an ambitious creative mind, a pragmatic lawyer or the comparatively level-headed employee trying to navigate a chaotic workplace. Feldman was involved in acting camps and school theater from the age of six. After graduating from Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland, he studied acting at Ithaca College, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He then moved to New York City, performed on Broadway and later headed to Los Angeles for film and television work. His early television roles included Josh Reeves in Living with Fran and guardian angel Fred in Drop Dead Diva. A particularly distinctive turn came on Mad Men, where Feldman played copywriter Michael Ginsberg. The role gave him room to bring restless energy and sharp comic timing into a series better known for carefully controlled surfaces. Feldman later appeared as lawyer Ron LaFlamme on Silicon Valley before taking the lead role of Jonah Simms in Superstore. Across the sitcom’s run from 2015 to 2021, Jonah became a strong fit for Feldman’s ability to make earnestness funny without turning the character into a simple punchline. Feldman also served as a producer on the series from 2019 to 2021. His work extends beyond live-action performance. In 2021, he began voicing Tylor Tuskmon in Monsters at Work. He also starred in the Australian series Population 11, earning a 2024 Logie Award nomination for his work. Moving among stage acting, television comedy, drama, voice work and producing, Feldman has shaped a career defined less by one kind of role than by a reliably nimble presence.
