Ben Diskin

Ben Diskin is an American actor and voice actor whose career stretches from childhood screen roles to a wide-ranging body of work in animation, anime and video games. Born in Los Angeles on August 25, 1982, Diskin appeared in The Wonder Years, Baby Boom, Mr. Saturday Night and Just Like Dad. His role as Sylvester in Kindergarten Cop earned him a 1991 Young Artist Award as part of the film’s ensemble cast. Voice acting became a major part of Diskin’s career. In 1993, he played Junior Healy in the animated series Problem Child, followed by roles including Eugene in Hey Arnold!, Hahn in Avatar: The Last Airbender and Ma’alefa’ak in Young Justice. Codename: Kids Next Door gave him two central parts, Numbuh 1 and Numbuh 2, while The Spectacular Spider-Man cast him as both Eddie Brock and Venom. Diskin also took over the English-language voice of Stitch for Stitch! and Stitch & Ai. From 2018 to 2022, he voiced Gonzo and Rizzo in the revival of Muppet Babies, winning a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in a Preschool Animated Program in 2019. He also voices Haida in the English dub of Aggretsuko. His anime work includes Sai in Naruto: Shippuden, Joseph Joestar in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Ban in The Seven Deadly Sins, Satoru Fujinuma in Erased, Knuckle Bine in Hunter x Hunter and Jack in Beastars. Other roles span Neon Genesis Evangelion, Sailor Moon, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin and Sword Art Online. Video game players may recognize Diskin as Eric Sparrow in Tony Hawk’s Underground, young Xehanort in the Kingdom Hearts series, Mega Man in Mega Man 11, or Lorenz Gloucester and Caspar von Bergliez in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It is a career built not around one defining screen persona, but around the ability to give distinct voices to an unusually varied collection of characters.
