Ashley Scott

Ashley Scott is an American actress and model whose screen career stretches across science fiction, action, television drama and psychological thrillers. Born on July 13, 1977, in Metairie, Louisiana, outside New Orleans, she grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. Scott began modeling at a young age, became a finalist in the 1993 Elite Model Look competition and later worked with Elite Miami. Her modeling career took her to fashion shows in Miami, Paris and London before she moved into acting. Scott received her first screen credit as Gigolo Jane in Steven Spielberg’s 2001 film A.I. Artificial Intelligence. That same year, she joined the Fox science-fiction series Dark Angel as series regular Asha Barlow. Television soon became a substantial part of her career. In 2002, she took on the dual role of Helena Kyle and Huntress in the WB drama Birds of Prey, bringing a comic-book character to television well before superhero shows became a near-constant presence on the schedule. Her feature-film work includes supporting roles and smaller parts in Walking Tall, Into the Blue, The Kingdom and 12 Rounds. On television, one of her longest-running roles came as Emily Sullivan across both seasons of the CBS series Jericho. She later appeared as series regular Mary during the first season of Lifetime’s comedy-drama UnREAL. Scott has also worked in video games, voicing Maria in 2013’s The Last of Us and returning to the role for The Last of Us Part II in 2020. In 2019, she starred in the Netflix psychological thriller Secret Obsession. That year, it was also reported that she would reprise Helena Kyle/Huntress for the Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths, reconnecting her with one of the defining roles of her television career.
