Antoni Corone

Antoni Corone is an American actor whose career has been shaped by a particular kind of screen authority. Born in Willoughby, Ohio, he began working in the mid-1980s and was often cast as rugged, slightly imposing or domineering figures: bouncers, security personnel, military men and officers of the law. It is a useful presence for crime stories and dramas, where a character may need to establish the stakes without taking over the scene. Corone appeared in the 1986 television film Charley Hannah before turning up in a memorable change of pace on the British sitcom Only Fools and Horses. In the 1991 episode “Miami Twice,” he played Rico Ochetti, the son of a Mafia don. He also appeared in Cape Fear that year. Later television work included a 1997 Kenan & Kel appearance as movie star Buck Savage, showing a more openly comic side to his usual tough-guy casting.
