Anthony Daniels is an English actor best known for bringing one of cinema's most recognisable droids to life: the anxious, endlessly talkative and impeccably mannered protocol droid C-3PO in the Star Wars saga. When audiences first encountered C-3PO wandering across the deserts of Tatooine alongside R2-D2 in Star Wars in 1977, few could have imagined just how enduring the character — or Daniels' association with him — would become.
