Angie Everhart

Angie Everhart built a screen career after first becoming known as a model, bringing the confidence of that earlier work into films, scripted television and reality shows. Born on September 7, 1969, in Akron, Ohio, she was already appearing on the covers of magazines including Elle and Glamour as a teenager. Her path was interrupted at 19 when a horseback-riding accident left her with a broken back, but she eventually recovered through physical therapy and resumed her career. Beginning in 1995, she appeared in several editions of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Everhart made her film debut opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1993 action-comedy Last Action Hero. From there, her filmography took on a distinctly eclectic shape. She appeared in the thriller Jade, the horror-comedy Tales From the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood and the crime comedy Mad Dog Time, all during the mid-1990s. Other credits included Another 9½ Weeks, Denial, The Substitute: Failure Is Not an Option, Wicked Minds and Payback. In 2011, she appeared in the period comedy Take Me Home Tonight. Television gave Everhart room to show a different kind of presence. She played a lawyer in a 2000 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and served as a panelist on both To Tell the Truth and Hollywood Squares. On Celebrity Mole: Yucatan in 2004, she was revealed as the mole tasked with quietly sabotaging the group. She later appeared on the second season of The Real Gilligan’s Island and co-hosted the ABC reality series The Ex-Wives Club in 2007. Across modeling, movies and television, Everhart’s career has never stayed confined to a single format. Her credits reflect a performer willing to move between glossy studio entertainment, genre pictures, guest roles and unscripted television without losing the direct, self-assured presence that first made her stand out.
