Andi Matichak

Andi Matichak is an American actress best known for playing Allyson Nelson in the modern Halloween trilogy, beginning with Halloween (2018) and continuing through Halloween Kills (2021) and Halloween Ends (2022). As the granddaughter of Laurie Strode and daughter of Karen Nelson, Allyson represents the third generation of the Strode family drawn into the trauma surrounding Michael Myers. Matichak brought a mixture of vulnerability, determination and increasingly hardened resolve to the character as Allyson evolved from an ordinary teenager into someone personally shaped by the violence that had haunted her family for decades. Her role grew substantially across the trilogy, particularly as Allyson's relationships with Laurie and Michael's other survivors became central to the story. By Halloween Ends, Matichak was effectively sharing the dramatic centre of the film with Jamie Lee Curtis and Rohan Campbell, giving Allyson a much more complicated story involving grief, anger and her relationship with Corey Cunningham. Outside the Halloween franchise, Matichak has appeared in film and television projects including Son, Assimilate and 666 Park Avenue, but her three-film run as Allyson Nelson remains her most prominent role and firmly connects her with one of horror cinema's longest-running franchises.
