Alison Eastwood

Alison Eastwood has built a career that moves comfortably between acting, directing, fashion and animal welfare rather than staying in one familiar lane. Born in 1972, she began taking professional acting roles during childhood and earned a Young Artist Award nomination for her performance in the 1984 thriller Tightrope. Her adult screen work has ranged across films including Just a Little Harmless Sex, Black and White, Friends & Lovers, If You Only Knew, Power Play and Poolhall Junkies. Later credits include One Long Night, Once Fallen and The Mule. She also performed part of “Come Rain or Come Shine” in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, with her recording included on the film’s soundtrack. Eastwood’s work behind the camera adds another dimension to that filmography. She made her feature directorial debut with the 2007 drama Rails & Ties, starring Kevin Bacon and Marcia Gay Harden. A decade later, she directed the romantic drama Battlecreek, with Bill Skarsgård, Paula Malcomson and Claire van der Boom. Those two features show that directing has been more than a passing extension of her acting career. Away from film sets, Eastwood worked as a runway and magazine model in Paris, appearing in European fashion publications and the American edition of Vogue. Her interest in design also led to her clothing line, Eastwood Ranch Apparel. Her television appearances have included the Nat Geo Wild program Animal Intervention and the reality series Chainsaw Gang. The animal-welfare focus of the former connects with another substantial part of her life: she founded the nonprofit Eastwood Ranch Foundation. Taken together, her work reflects a career shaped not by one fixed screen identity, but by a willingness to move between performance, filmmaking, design and advocacy.
