Alex Vincent

Alex Vincent found his way toward acting remarkably early. Born on April 29, 1981, in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in Maywood, he was five years old when he saw a neighbor on television and began wondering if he could act too. Vincent approached the neighbor’s agent, which led to parts in several commercials and, before long, the role most closely associated with his screen career. In 1987, Vincent auditioned to play Andy Barclay in Child’s Play. Hundreds of boys were considered before the field was narrowed to Vincent and two other young actors. One detail from the process offers a revealing glimpse of the child behind the audition: Vincent refused to swear in front of his mother. He nevertheless impressed the producers and won the part. Vincent’s career has not been confined to one corner of performance. He is associated with work as a film, television, voice and stage actor, giving his profile a broader shape than a single early screen role might suggest. That range also reflects the practical side of a life spent around performance and production rather than a career built only on visibility. Away from acting, Vincent is the owner and producer at AV Productions Recording Studio and Production Company in Clearwater, Florida. It is a natural extension of his work in front of the camera and microphone, placing him on the production side as well. Vincent graduated from Hackensack High School in 1999. Of Italian and one-quarter Irish descent, he remains an American actor whose career began with childhood curiosity, moved quickly into commercials and film, and expanded across several forms of performance and production.
