Alex Veadov
Alex Veadov is an American character actor whose career spans film, television and voice work. Born in New York City on April 15, 1962, he has appeared in numerous English-language productions, building a body of work around supporting roles that often require menace, control and a sharply defined presence. His early screen career included appearances in Jackie Chan's First Strike, Contact and Air Force One. Those films placed Veadov within large-scale productions, while later roles gave him more room to establish the kind of imposing antagonists for which he is best known. In We Own the Night, Veadov played Vadim Nezhinski, a Russian mob drug lord and hitman. It is the sort of part that depends on an actor making danger feel immediate without overwhelming the story around him. Veadov followed with another threatening role in the 2012 film Act of Valor, playing Christo, a drug smuggler and terrorist seeking to attack the United States. He appeared as Tevi in The Equalizer in 2014, continuing a run of hard-edged film roles. The following year, he moved into period television as Nikola in Agent Carter, showing how naturally his work can fit into different genres and formats. Alongside his live-action appearances, Veadov has also worked as a voice actor. Veadov's filmography reflects the durable path of a character performer: moving between major movies and television, making supporting parts specific, and bringing focused authority to stories built on tension and conflict. Whether playing a criminal figure, a terrorist or another figure operating at the dangerous edge of the plot, he gives filmmakers a dependable screen presence without needing to occupy the center of the frame.
