Alex McKenna

Alex McKenna has built a varied screen career across film, television and voice acting, moving from childhood comedy to crime drama, horror and one of gaming’s biggest westerns. Born in Los Angeles on October 15, 1984, she began working as a child actress and played Petunia Stupid in the 1996 adventure comedy The Stupids. Early roles showed her range developing quickly. She appeared as Amanda in the horror film Campfire Tales and as Linda Ross in Joey, both released in 1997. Her television work in You Wish brought a 1998 Young Artist Award nomination for Best Performance in a TV Comedy Series. She later had a small part in the hit comedy What Women Want and took on darker material as Abby Macy, a drug-addicted teenager, in NBC’s crime drama Crossing Jordan. McKenna became a familiar presence across television through guest roles in series including Malcolm in the Middle, Boston Public, 90210, Shake It Up, Common Law, Two and a Half Men and Guys with Kids. She also landed a recurring role in TNT’s revival of Dallas, adding prime-time soap drama to an already broad résumé. Her film work has continued to cross genres. She played the lead role of Megs in the 2009 short The City of Lights, appeared in the 2014 horror film Haunted and portrayed Tammy in the 2016 comedy Bear with Us. That supporting performance earned her awards including the Jury Award for Best Supporting Actress at the Sunscreen Film Festival. The same year, she appeared opposite Josh Radnor as Grace in the drama The Seeker. In 2018, McKenna brought both voice and motion-capture performance to Sadie Adler in Red Dead Redemption 2. The role demonstrated how naturally her work could extend beyond live-action film and television. That year also included a guest appearance in Quantico’s “Heaven’s Fall,” continuing a career shaped by versatility rather than one fixed screen persona.
