Adam Busch is an American actor whose career has moved comfortably between film, television, music and comedy. Born on July 6, 1978, in East Meadow, New York, he took his first film role in Léon: The Professional before becoming familiar to younger viewers as Noah Allen on Nickelodeon’s The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo. An early appearance on Law & Order also pointed toward the varied television work that would follow. Busch has often found a place in ensembles, bringing personality to supporting and recurring roles. He played a nerdy AV geek in the cheerleader bank-robbery comedy Sugar & Spice, appeared in the short-lived Fox series The Jury and took on a character role in House. In Paul Weitz’s American Dreamz, he played Sholom Glickstein, an Orthodox Jewish rap artist—a part that captures the offbeat territory his screen career has frequently explored. His television work also includes a recurring role in the Kelsey Grammer sitcom Back to You, along with guest appearances on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Are You Scared 2. He later played Neal on the TBS comedy Men at Work, adding another regular sitcom role to a résumé that stretches across procedural drama, science fiction and broad comedy. Acting is only one part of Busch’s creative work. He is the singer in the indie rock band Common Rotation and is also associated with film directing. He cohosts Who Are These Podcasts?, appearing on its Wednesday shows. That mix of acting, music and podcasting suits a career that has never stayed inside a single lane. And should anyone make a Huey Lewis biopic, Busch has already named portraying the former pop star as his dream role.
